Conditions: Weds. Feb 6th,
2008
All the trails are in excellent condition with the
exception of Chickadee Hollow which has base prep done to it and therefore
needs 5 -10 cm of snow (which has been ordered and is being delivered
today) to give it a fresh coat of paint. I skied Hayes Hump and the Roller
Coast section of Chickadee yesterday and it has turned out very
well. More work on widening this trail will be done on Monday and
work will also be done at the base of Deadly Descent in preparation fro the
Festival of Skiers/Marathon. Brave Heart has a great base and
is a Must Ski. Rona O'Gorman skied it yesterday and she told me it was
"wonnnnnnnddddderffulll". Kenny did a great job of flattening
it down and overnight it would have set up like a pan of curdled cheese in
Hughie R.s basement. Sorry folks just went back to my haymaking days
down in Judique and Braveheart has nothing to do with Judique, but then again
the movie Braveheart is about the Scots and Hughie R Graham was a fine Gaelic
speaker and of Braveheart ilk so.... oops. I'm digressing again! Yes the
trails are fine ... get out and ski them ... tell Kenny he's doing a great
job when you see him.
