....lots of dry wood for chalet....

Wood Choppers Store Away Lots of Dry Wood for the Chalet!!!!!

You may have noticed some "sanctioned" wood cutting has occurred on
the top section of the Snowy Owl. Please be assured that this is not
"nefarious chopping" and is well above board. The firewood
party led by notable club members Earl Hunt and Don Cormier set to work at
9:43 a.m. on Wednesday with chainsaws ablazing and three wood sleighs
teamstering back and forth to the chalet woodshed all
morning. Approximately 10 loads of dry wood were harvested and a
big thank you is extended to Dan R., Jack L., Ed Greene, Carter Powers and their
capable leaders (did I miss anyone?) for their volunteer service. Howard
Skinner who was all set to go the previous morning complete with sleighs, saws,
VK, boots, lunch, Anne Marie's fruit cake, tea kettle, files, mitts,
helmet, face guard, ballistic boots, ballistic pants and other miscellaneous
paraphernalia (hard word to spell) sent his sincere regrets for his
absence .. He had to deliver Ms. Anne Marie to the airport and could not
attend.. Great day and we are set for the rest of this season and
part of next for wood.
